Redknapp eyes £2m swoop for Kaboul

Redknapp is poised to make a £2million bid for Spurs reject Youness Kaboul. Pompey want Kaboul, 22, as cover for defensive duo Sol Campbell and Sylvain Distin. This comes as Pompey come to face their first ever UEFA Cup campaign. Redknapp requires a squad that can both compete well in League and Cup competition.

Agent Pini Zahavi claims Brazilian footballer, Marcelo Mattos, is considering a move to Premier League side Portsmouth.
 
It has been said that Mattos had an outstanding season with Panathinaikos and Portsmouth are one of three Premier League clubs to have made an offer, that is according to his representative Zahavi.
